This year, Emerge Freight Alliance brought the world to Bangkok for its 4th Annual Partnership Meeting, held alongside The Freight Summit. More than 180 freight forwarders and industry partners from over 50 countries and territories gathered at the Shangri-La for four unforgettable days of meetings, conversations and celebration.

From the first handshake at registration to the final toast at the Closing Happy Hour, the week was alive with new introductions, renewed partnerships and fresh ideas ready to take home.

Bangkok’s weather had its own plans on the evening of September 28, so the Welcome Cocktail Party moved indoors to Ballrooms 2 & 3.

The change of venue didn’t dampen the mood one bit. Delegates arrived in their Beach Attire best, and the room quickly filled with laughter, catch-ups and first introductions.

It turned out to be the perfect warm-up for the week: easy conversations, familiar faces and plenty of new ones.

On the morning of September 29, the energy inside the main ballroom was electric as both communities gathered for the Joint Plenary marking the official start of an unforgettable week in Bangkok!

Opening the session, Nils Walle, Director and Co-Founder of RW Solutions, took the stage to share the latest TFS community updates, extend a heartfelt thank-you to this year’s sponsors, and set the high-energy roadmap for the days ahead.

Representing Emerge Freight Alliance, Director and Co-Founder Melvin Xavier delivered the latest network highlights and took a moment to express heartfelt gratitude to Emerge's official sponsors, Gold Sponsor Easyfresh Nederland BV and Silver Sponsor Golden Cargo Services LLC, for their invaluable support.

He then led one of the morning's most celebrated moments: the Awards Ceremony, honoring the incredible loyalty, leadership, and drive of our stand-out members:

The momentum kept building during the Emerge & TFS Open Mic! One by one, delegates including many first-time attendees stepped up to the mic with enthusiasm to introduce their companies, breaking the ice and setting up powerful connections right from day one. 

To cap off an extraordinary morning, Mohammed Qahtani, 2015 World Champion of Public Speaking and author of The Power of Words, delivered a masterclass keynote on The Power of Words and Negotiation Skills. His practical, high-impact strategies left everyone inspired and fully recharged for the afternoon’s 1-on-1 meetings!

Before stepping out for lunch, all delegates gathered together to capture the moment in our official Group Photo, a true reflection of a united, global community ready to do business!

From the afternoon of September 29 right through to the final day, Ballrooms 1 & 2 transformed into the pulsating heart of the entire conference. The floor was buzzing with nonstop energy as EMERGE and TFS delegates sat down for high-value, pre-scheduled face-to-face meetings, mapping out trade lanes, aligning capabilities, and unlocking strategic global opportunities.

For many, it was the long-awaited moment to finally put a face to the names behind daily email threads. For long-time partners, it was an invaluable space to reinforce trust and deepen relationships built over years. More than just scheduled sessions, these face-to-face exchanges are where real business happens, deals are sealed, and the true spirit of our alliance comes alive.

On the evening of September 30, delegates swapped the ballroom for the legendary Chao Phraya River. Dressed to impress in the evening’s signature All White theme, the group boarded at Shangri-La’s Salathip Pier and set sail as the sun began to set over Bangkok.

With drinks flowing, live music setting the tempo, and the stunning city lights reflecting on the water, the cruise instantly transformed into an unforgettable celebration. Toasts were raised to new achievements, the dance floor stayed packed all night, and strong partnerships turned into lifelong friendships long before the boat docked back at shore!

As the final round of meetings wrapped up on October 1, delegates gathered at the Ballroom Foyer for the Closing Happy Hour. It was a relaxed, feel-good send-off, a chance to unwind, share a few laughs, and soak in the final moments together before heading home.
